I submitted this to GTAC and they made it an ER but maybe someone knows a workaround. We want to add a white background to notes in NX12 drafting. Currently we have a application where there are a lot of notes printed over a transparent solid with lots of internal parts. It is very difficult to read unless the notes can have a background over the view. Note that other software like AutoCAD and SolidEdge have this capability.
Hi Nat,
You may want to create a sketch boundary for your text on the view, finish the sketch operation, enter text and use area fill set to solid. See my example below:
If the text you want to add to the drawing is a standard note that doesn't change, another workaround to have colored background on text could be to use an image on the drawing. However, it doesn't seem to mask geometry in a view, if that's what you are after, even if you set the transparency to None.
