NX top border bar ?

Reference the picture in this link:

I imported my role from NX 11 to 1847, and as you can see the top border bar is identical.

N1872 - imported the same, but the selection intent text and selection scope text boxes have disappeared. (I know there is now a selection tab on the main ribbon, but don't care, I want it on the top border as per NX11, I want to see it always as I work)

NX 1899 - now the point snap bar, and the view control (shading, etc) have also disappeared, and also the custom measure icons I put in.

I can recreate the custom measure commands I put in, but please tell me how I can get the text box back in selection intent and scope, and get the point constructor bar back without having to go through any convoluted customization??? and not have to change to the selection tab to see them! I have tried a lot of things, I have been on NX sine V17, and no luck except pull downs which I don't want.

This is a very, very inconvenient  change! WHY?

Thank you for your time............JD

Once you have the selection group roll down turned on, open customize, then go back to the roll down and drag and drop your selection point to your border bar. otherwise if you have them shaded within the roll down, then you select a point that the software will make the best selection your looking for.

James,

I'm sure you've tried using the far right pull down to customize your border bar, have you switched into any other rolls to verify if the setting are the same, if they appear replicate the same issue,  I would leave 1899 installed, download a fresh version of 1899 and install it again, and also ensure that NX is selected and not another Siemens product like NX Viewer.

I have recreated the point constructor top border tool bar using customization tools.  That was the easy part.

Still no luck getting the selection intent text box to display as in every other version (now I found out that when you put in a blend, etc, the single edge, tangent edge, etc. selection intent does not display the text with out using the pull down either!) ☹

This is very inconvenient from an experienced user

This appears to be a generic answer and was no help. I have no intention of reinstalling 1899, and I know the difference between NX and NX viewer, and what a role is and does.

The only solution I found was to make a custom menu, and put the items I need and use as a user that has been on NX 9 hours a day for decades ( in medium size icons to display the text box that every user uses constantly).

I see no other solution. I believe the NX software engineers that don't actually use the software, other than for testing, chose to omit it as an option for all users.

Correct me if I'm wrong, with actual answers and proof, not generic ones, and I will admit my oversight.
