NX License Borrow

How It Works

NX LICENSE BORROW

NX users who currently have a perpetual floating license can use the NX License Borrow feature. This allows users the capability to borrow and return licenses from the server to a mobile workstation, without interrupting design and manufacturing productivity.

As a plus, the license borrow is version-release-neutral, meaning, users do not have to be on the latest release in order to work in the NX environment.

HOW TO IMPLEMENT

NX via Desktop / Laptop

Each NX user has the ability to utilize NX License Borrow. So long as it is ensured that the desktop or laptop can run NX properly, the license can be checked out.

NX via VPN

The VPN connection option is for NX users with infrastructures in place and VPN servers that can handle network traffic. Users are encouraged to work with their IT personnel to ensure proper implementation.

NX via the Cloud (AWS)*

Users who run NX on the Cloud can utilize NX License Borrow via Amazon Web Services (AWS) Appstream 2.0 for streaming. Please note that this option requires a few steps to get started. Review the deployment guide.
