Detailed course content varies and is dependant on NX software version from
which the student is transitioning from. Most facets of CAD application are revealed, including customization and configuration concepts, premier assembly techniques, capturing aesthetics and rendering, and industry-wide drafting procedures in CAD. This course is designed for users who possess the functionality included in the Free Form 2 and Shape Studio licenses (such as the Mach 2 & Mach 3 license bundles) and who deal with product design focused on aesthetics and
styling rather than fabrication processes. Despite similarity to topics for the Surface Modeling course, this course includes many more commands and options within each lesson and shows users how to go “from art to part” with techniques in developing desired associativity and dependencies.

This course presents contouring tools within NX modeling that are suited for creating styled shapes from Shape Studio functionality for free form modeling, technical evaluation, & visualization development.

Designed to teach students the proper use of NX drafting essentials, this course addresses most approaches to 2D and 3D drafting processes in practice today. The course is written for new CAD users and covers the essentials of the interface and the difference between 3D model space and 2D drawing sheet.

Included in numerous implementation processes is the requirement to produce high-quality detail drawings that capture and convey design intent graphically. Most of the high-level NX drafting functionality is covered, including associative dimensions, tables, and Exploded Views.

2 Day Class
This course is intended for designer that desire to leverage the integration of NX with mechanical routing system design tools. At the completion of this course, the student will have the ability to create fully associative mechanical routed systems models with NX, effectively use piping libraries, automate BOMs, calculate cut lengths, and create bend reports.

This course teaches students how to utilize the tools used
to quickly define piping paths around and through other NX
assemblies to assign NPS stock to paths, and to qualify and
place standard parts. These subassemblies typically define
the systems that provide process piping, disposal of waste,
and structural support. Users also learn to develop logical
diagrams.

5 Day Class
This course teaches designers skills needed to significantly reduce mold design lead time using Mold Wizard automation. The course mimics common tasks used in mold construction and is reinforced using hands-on activities.

A predominant amount of NX Mold Wizard functionality is taught from the beginning stages of part and flow analysis to drafting processes, including all of the major systems within an operating mold such as ejection, cooling, slides and lifter, and simulation.
