Milling operation types
- Operation Navigator –Cam Tool Bars, Resource Tool Bar, Cam Navigators.
- Manufacturing Geometry – Machine Coordinate System, Clearance plane, Fixture Offset.
- Master Modeling for Manufacturing – Simple Assemblies for manufacturing, Placements, Mating Conditions, Assembly preferences
- Tools – Creating Face mills, End Mills, Ball Mills, Drills, Reamers, Tool Libraries, Holders, Carrier and pockets. Face Milling – Face milling, Face milling area, Part Geometry, Face Geometry, Blank distance, Assigning Cut Levels.
- Visualization – Replay options, 2D and 3D material removal. Gouge and excess options.
- Geometry definition, Types of Milling Boundaries, Boundary settings options, Cutting patterns for Planar Milling, Non-Cutting moves for Planar Milling, Control of the output of the tool path (Cutting Parameters), Feeds and Speeds
- Drilling – Cycled and non cycled output, Drilling, Reaming, Tapping, Counter Sinking, Cut depths options.
- Cavity Milling – Defining cut levels, Non-Cutting moves, Cut Patterns in Cavity Milling, Geometry options, In Process Machining.
- Fixed Axis Contouring – Discuss contouring Drive methods (Streamline tool path, Area milling, Flow cut, Surface machining), Non-Cutting moves for Fixed axis machining, Cut Patterns options, Geometry options for each contouring method.
